Vehicle Wrap Design 101

Design 101 for Vehicle Wraps

The Wrap Design 101 class is perfect for someone who has a basic understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator, and is within their first year of working in the large format/ vehicle wrap industry. We review common tools, their respective shortcuts and modifier keys for a more efficient workflow.

  • Students explore the benefits of a tandem workflow using both Photoshop and Illustrator to achieve the best results for the design.
  • Creative briefs are introduced, why they are needed and how they can help to avoid unnecessary revisions.
  • Students conduct creative brief for their final project.

Designs are reviewed and discussed among the class with a Q&A session.

Vehicle Wrap Design 201

Design 201 for Vehicle Wraps

The Wrap Design 201 class is geared for someone who has been working in the large format/vehicle wrap industry for more than a year. Working in both Photoshop and Illustrator, we explore best practices when making templates, designing on these custom templates, and file preparation for final printing.

  • Students will learn how to make their own vehicle template from specific measurements and photos.
  • The creative brief process is discussed in detail, explaining why a brief can make the design more efficient by reducing revisions and resulting in faster approvals with a more focused and effective design.

Completed designs are reviewed among the class with a Q&A session.

Full Circle Automotive Wrap Restyling

Full Circle Automotive Wrap Restyling

– The ultimate DIY and beginner automotive restyling course.
– This course is designed specifically for the beginner with little to no experience in vehicle color change, window Film and PPF. This course will cover the basics on the 3 most popular ways to restyle your vehicle.
– This course will cover the fundamental concepts of installing a color change wrap from squeegee technique to proper use of heat and stretching the film, knifeless tape and how to properly use each line. how to plan out your wrap to get the most out of each roll and price your wraps for profit. Proper prep of vehicle, materials, and tools needed to be successful.

PPF – This course is all about ways to maximize profit and have a quick turn around on your vehicles. From high wear packages to partial front-end coverages, this course will teach you the basics to be able to start offering PPF coverage and get your foot in the door in one of the most popular and beneficial upgrades to vehicles.

Window tint tends to be the first thing done to each car that is purchased, why not start offering that as a service? This course will help you understand better the benefits of window tint and how to properly shrink and install the film.

The new Full Circle Restyling course is perfect for you if you’re looking to get into the automotive restyling industry. This course will help you understand the film and how to choose the appropriate film for your customers. This class again is designed for the DIY or beginner installer. Students that attended will receive a certificate of completion of the Full Circle Restyling course and will leave with the foundational techniques needed to start your career off right. The course is meant to be completed before attending the 3M Preferred installer training for Color-change, Window film, and PPF courses.

3M Vehicle Color Change Training

— In this training, dedicated exclusively installing 3M™ Wrap Film Series 2080 and using 3M™ Knifeless Tape, you’ll learn techniques for vehicle color change installations.
— At the end of training, you may take a test to demonstrate what you’ve learned.
— If you pass the test, you will earn the title of 3M™ Vehicle Color Change Preferred Installer and will be listed on the 3M Installer Locator.
— 3 days of training with optional hands on test on the 3rd day.
*Our class size is small to ensure individual attention for each student and seats fill up quickly.

3M™ Automotive Window Film Installer Training

— This 3-day training will focus on installing 3M™ Window Film
— The course includes instruction on complex windows, film shrinking, trimming and cutting and use of 3M™ Pattern and Solutions Center software.
— At the end of training, you may take a test to demonstrate what you’ve learned.
— If you pass the test, you will earn the title of 3M™ Automotive Window Film with Crystalline Preferred Installer and will be listed on the 3M Installer Locator.
— 3 days of training with optional hands on test on the 3rd day.

Window, Walls, and Floors Graphics

-Five-day training courses last 2 days are optional testing for qualified installers must have min of 1 year experience and 25 full vehicles wrapped to take preferred installer test.
-Taught by 3M Authorized trainer and tester
-Comprehensive discussion, demonstration and hands-on training
-Printed Vehicle wraps, Color change wraps, Fleet graphics, boat wraps, smooth walls, textured walls and floor graphics
-Training courses are tailored for all skill levels
-All appropriate tools and materials provided for use during classes
-11 different training stations available to build and refine skills
-Training course are set up to build skills
-If student decides to opt in for testing the test will be conducted until the student passes or fails the hands-on exam. if student fails, they will need to book a retest for a later time.
